Nine In Ten Australian Properties Are ‘Flipped’ For A Profit

Global data analytics provider CoreLogic has released its first Property Flipping Report, which provides a national analysis of properties that were ‘flipped’ (bought and re-sold within a short time frame with the purpose of making a profit) in 2017.

QLD BUDGET 2018: Regional areas win big

JACKIE Trad will take Queensland further into debt to pay for the largest investment in infrastructure since the 2011 flood recovery program.

About $30 billion will be spent on economy-building projects for regional Queensland.

As predicted, Ms Trad failed to surprise Queenslanders in the Palaszczuk Government's fourth budget - handed down on Tuesday.

Surge in number of Rocky people working on Cap Coast

AN ADDITIONAL 413 Rockhampton residents are now commuting to the Capricorn Coast for work.

This figure is a 46.4 per cent increase over five years (2011 to 2016).

2011's Census revealed 890 workers living in Rockhampton commuted daily to the Capricorn Coast, with that number surging to 1,303 commuters recorded at the time of the 2016 census.

QLD houses lead building approvals growth

NATIONAL detached house approvals have jumped to their strongest level in 15 years, and private houses in Queensland are leading the trend.

Australian Bureau of Statistics trend figures showed that over the three months to April, 31,562 new detached houses were approved for construction.

Housing Industry Association senior economist Shane Garrett said it was the most in any three-month period since 2003.

“The volume of approvals for new detached houses is at its strongest in 15 years,” he said.
