Social distancing is highly important during the COVID-19 Pandemic, and as we all try our best to maintain this new lifestyle, what does this mean for the property market? Whether you were just starting to research and attend opens, or if you had been actively exploring for three months or more, here are @ Real Estates tops tips for viewing and researching property in our new situation.

View properties online

All properties are always listed online so you can get a solid understanding of the home, its features and location. Simply visit any of the main portals such as our @ Real Estate Webpage, realestate.com.au or domain.com.au. Most listings include floor plans or video tours to give you an even better idea of the property’s flow and if it matches your requirements. 

Explore the suburb virtually

During your house hunting, part of your research would include exploring your ideal neighbourhoods. With the Governments advice firmly encouraging us to stay home unless necessary to go out, you can also research suburbs using our online suburb profile section on our @ Real Estate website. It’s a great resource if you’re looking to move to a new suburb.

Virtual tours and FaceTime walkthroughs

@ Real Estate has been offering virtual tours and facetime inspections since opening in 2016 and will continue to do so throughout this period. 

Private inspections

Private, by-appointment-only inspections are still available and can be organised on a case by case basis. It’s important that all social distancing guidelines are followed during a private inspection, so prepare for things to be a little different. Unfortunately, your friendly @ Real Estate won’t be shaking your hand and will keep their distance. Our team will have hand sanitiser, anti-bacterial wipes and Glen 20 to help stop the spread.
