CONTINUALITY PLAN

@ Real Estate understand the impact that COVID-19 has on our clients and our loved community. Your safety and that of your family and our community is of the utmost importance to us. We are doing everything we can to be proactive and provide a safe environment to our staff and valued clients. @ Real Estate will be running as per usual and our team will continue to deliver the level of service and results our clients have come to expect as we still see positive market activity.

Due to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, @ Real Estate are continuously changing our process and procedure to meet the changing standards required including; increased hygiene practices and social distancing. Our team have been leading the way with digital marketing and industry technology since opening in 2016. We already have everything in place to continue and conduct business in a safe manner including; remote and virtual appointments for new and existing sellers, buyers, tenants and landlords, in addition to private inspections and meeting.

As our systems are cloud based, we already have everything in place to work remotely without interruptions. We have increased hygiene procedures at our office, routine and private inspections and have stopped all open homes.

The situation is continually evolving, and individuals as well as those responsible for others need to stay informed and make decisions based on information from reliable sources, such as the Department of Health (Commonwealth) and QLD Ministry of Health.

Please refer to these websites frequently for news on Coronavirus (COVID-19) as they are updated regularly.

When viewing or inspecting property or having an appointment with an agent, we remind everyone in line with the Health Authorities recommendation; do not shake hands, if you are sick/or are self-isolating do not attend/notify, staying a 1.5m distance from others, cough or sneeze into elbows or tissues, wear gloves if needed, regularly use hand sanitiser and wash your hands with warm soapy water for minimum of 20seconds.

Our intention is to keep our business running, assisting and showing clients properties for sale. Should anything change that will impact this, we will notify you immediately.

Following is a brief outline of processes for buyers and sellers.

VIEWING A PROPERTY TO BUY

Inspections/Viewings

We will continue to do private inspections for properties unless the Government asks businesses to reduce public interaction or the owners or tenants request no inspections. However, we are equipped to do facetime inspections and also provide a property walk through video for all buyers as an alternative to inspecting.

If you are to attend an inspection, our agents are equipped with anti-bacterial protective products such as; hand sanitiser, anti-bacterial wipes and Glen 20 spray. Our agents will be wiping down all regularly touched areas (door handles, light switches and bench surfaces) with anti-bacterial wipes as well as spraying Glen 20 in high traffic areas before and after all viewings to limit any potential risk. However, if you should be experiencing any flu like symptoms please advise us before the inspection and we will organise another way to view the property.

SELLING A PROPERTY

Booking for an appraisal

If you are looking at putting your property on the market, our team have many procedures in place to do this remotely as we have done for many clients in the past.

Vacant properties

Properties that are on the market or coming on the market over the next few weeks may be impacted by reduced public interaction, therefore you may experience longer selling times which will impact your loan payments. We suggest you contact your bank manager as soon as possible and discuss your options.

Occupied Properties

If you are living in the property you are selling, our team have put in place extra hygiene procedures to minimise the spread of germs and bacteria such as; wiping down all regularly touched areas (door handles, light switches and bench surfaces) with anti-bacterial wipes as well as spraying Glen 20 in high traffic areas before and after all viewings to limit any potential risk. We will also provide hand sanitiser to all clients coming through your property. If you are not comfortable with private inspections, please let us know as we can send our buyers property walk through videos and can organise facetime inspections.

Following is a brief outline of processes for Landlords and Tenants.

LEASING A PROPERTY

Landlords;

We have taken extra precautions with the wellbeing of your tenant/s in mind. We have paused all in person routine inspections and making other arrangement on a case by case basis. For all maintenance requirements on the property, we have put in extra processes and procedure in place to ensure the spread of germs is to a minimum.

Tenants;

It is important that we take all reasonable precautions to maintain the health and safety of our tenant/s, staff, tradespeople and any other persons visiting the property in connection with the tenancy. To minimise the risk of coronavirus spreading, please advise if you have any flu-like symptoms. In addition, please let us know if you have developed coronavirus (COVID-19), have returned from overseas in the past 14 days and have developed respiratory illness with or without fever, have been in close contact with a confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) case in the past 14 days and have developed respiratory illness with or without fever, have severe community-acquired pneumonia and there is no clear cause, or are a healthcare worker who works directly with patients and have a respiratory illness and a fever. If any of the above items apply to you, please notify us as a matter of urgency prior to the entry. We understand many businesses are being forced to close, if you are in the position where your job has been lost, please let us know immediately.

Over the coming days, we will be guided by the recommendations made by Health Authorities, the State and Federal Governments on actions we need to take. Our priority is to ensure that our people remain well and healthy and our clients are serviced to the best of our ability under these circumstances. We are confident that the investments we have made in our various systems will allow us to do so.

Again, measures will only come into place should the Health Authorities or the State Government mandate isolation periods regardless of whether you have the virus or not. For the time being, it is business as normal. We want to assure our clients that should things change we have a plan in place!
